Mindfulness meditation in the insight tradition is about seeing life as it really is, free from belief and delusion. By gently noticing and investigating sensations, thoughts and emotions, it trains the mind and opens the heart.

Intended for new and experienced meditators, this circle will support you in creating and sustaining your own regular meditation practice. Everyone is welcome.

This winter, we will explore the key Buddhist heart qualities. Cultivating these qualities of universal kindness, gratitude, generosity, compassion, forgiveness, joy, and equanimity in our daily lives can lead to a sense of deep and lasting happiness.

ON-LINE: MELTT. Multiple Experience Learning to Transform and Transcend

“Your body is your subconscious mind. Our physical body can be changed by the emotions we experience. The emotional memory is stored in many places in the body, not just or even primarily, in the brain. I think unexpressed emotions are literally lodged in the body.  The real true emotions that need to be expressed are in the body, trying to move up and be expressed and thereby integrated, made whole, and healed.”

~Dr. Candace Pert~

We invite you to MELTT  Into your Being

Offerings are drop in and held weekly on Thursdays from 4:00-5:00pm PDT.

March Theme: Strength and Connection

“If you were born with the weakness to fall, you were born with the strength to rise.” ~ Rupi Kaur~

Come explore how we redefine the boundaries of Strength and build deep resilience in body, heart and mind.

COVID brings new challenges to our being and new opportunities to transform, heal, reduce stress and embrace health. In the MELTT practice way we learn through many different modalities and traditions to transform ourselves and transcend our habitual patterns of human experience.

Each month we will post the theme of our weekly practices. Each week will vary allowing for ease of dropping in as it feels spacious to you. We will explore qigong, yoga, somatic body experiences, meditation, breath work, isometric strengthening, awakening the hands and feet, functional movement, chanting, sound and vibrational experiences, neuroscience brain plasticity concepts, communing with nature, etc. This offering will be coordinated by experienced hosts who offer different learning opportunities. We will also invite guest hosts as the MELTT experiences unfold over the coming months. Come ready to explore your being!

*Helpful (but optional) in-home props include: Yoga mat, yoga blocks, comfortable chair, blanket, pillows, large towel and hand towels, and candle.

** Please remember to wash your hands prior to practice. We will do practices which involve face touch.

*** By participating in these free, donation only offerings, I agree to waive and hold harmless Healing Circles Langley and all hosts, sponsors and providers of the offerings. I understand my participation in these offerings constitute agreement to all posted waivers.

On-line: Song Bath Sanctuary

Renew your body and soul in the comfort of your own home. Deborah creates a deep, resonant sound field with soul-infused vocal tones accompanied by crystal bowls, antique Himalayan bowls, and a large ceremonial drum. The music emerges as she attunes to the presence of the people who are gathered and the spirit of the moment. Make yourself comfortable, either lying down or sitting in meditation. During the Song Bath, you might  go on an inner imaginal journey, or focus on the sensations of the sound in your body, or enter a state of deep rest. You may also engage in a creative activity if you prefer, like drawing or moving. This is not a zoom session where you see other participants. It is a private experience, but the energy of the group creates a supportive field for the music to emerge, and for each participant to engage in deep self-care. It is best to listen with earbuds, headphones or speakers.

Deborah Koff-Chapin has been offering Song Baths at Healing Circles in Langley since its founding. She is so happy to be able to offer this experience online for the global Healing Circles community. Register here to receive the link and reminders before each Song Bath. https://touchdrawing.com/song-bath-sanctuary/
