If you can’t make the First Tuesday event, we will repeat the same Let’s-Give-Them-Something-to-Talk-About community conversations as a brown-bag discussion on the following Monday. The topic for this one is Healing in Community: Can We Get Better Together?
Research shows that we live longer and healthier lives when we are supported by others in community. Can we match these kinds of results on Whidbey? Given the strengths of our community, can we do even better? What do we each need to increase our own capacity to heal and how much of that is helped by doing it together?
The format of these Community Conversations is simple:
- a brief 15-20 minute introduction to the topic
- break-outs into small groups for greater interactivity and discussion
- wrap-up with what we’ve collectively gathered
RSVP. Please contact us at 221-4101 or firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to attend just so we know how many chairs to have readily available.
