Dreams are doorways to access our own inner wisdom for healing. Intuition accompanies us in our waking life and guides us in our dreams.
Please join us for a day of exploring—through various art forms—dreams and memories as vehicles to harvest this precious resource for empowerment and healing.
We will use visual and somatic arts/movement as pathways into creative intuition. We will begin the class by focusing on a dream or memory that each participant can work with.
- Embodied dream/memory recall
- Awakening insight through a supportive group environment
- Tapping into our innate creativity through dreamwork
- Taking skillful action in waking life
The workshop is facilitated by Maura Singer, MA & Lucy Beazley, MA who are joining us on Whidbey for this week-end only.
Maura has worked in the field of Integrative Medicine for 23 years. She currently teaches at Commonweal, at the Comprehensive Cancer Center and Chaplain Training Program at Alta Bates, and through her own healing arts practice, New Green Sprout.
Lucy is a transformative artist. A unifying theme in her work is contact with the body—through her somatic arts practice and clay figure sculpture. Her work draws from Authentic Movement, somatic psychology, Contact Improvisation, and qigong.
(If you have a dream, please bring it to class. Or, bring a waking dream—an event or experience from your life that stands out, is unusual, extraordinary—something about which you might say: “This is like a dream!”)
