On-line: Writing Through Covid

January 23, 2021 @ 11:00 am – 12:30 pm
Kate Stivers

To everything, there is a season. Writing Through Covid is like a season of being with and looking through a kaleidoscope of changes, experiences, and feelings. Times of quarantine, lockdown, and sheltering in. Times of retreating, pilgrimages, and contemplation. Times of re-evaluation, profound disequilibrium, and losses. Times of the deepening of values, creativity, self-care, and appreciation of nature.

Through this writing circle, we will focus on the healing and support of poetry, writing prompts, and journaling. This will be a circle for honoring one’s experience of discovery and expression during this time of Writing Through Covid. This will not be about craft, techniques, or the critiquing of one’s writing.

This circle is hosted by Kate Stivers, a counselor in Freeland.

Over the years Kate has hosted many circles on loss and grief with Healing Circles Langley.
