534 Camano Avenue, Langley
Larry Daloz is a lifelong educator and deep lover of the forest and all that thrives within it. He is an abductee… not by aliens from the outer reaches of space but by the tiny denizens we typically overlook in the innermost spaces of our forests. In Larry’s words: “I like to think that the mosses and lichens whom I photograph have recruited me to make their wonder available to us humans.”
An exhibit of Larry’s images will be on display at the Whidbey Arts Gallery on Second St. in Langley during November. He will use this evening at Healing Circles to share the motivation, insights, and astonishment—and, yes, obsession—behind his photographs and how they contribute to healing in the broadest sense of the word.
By the mediation of a thousand little mosses and fungi, the most unsightly objects become radiant of beauty. —Thoreau
