This is an introduction to the practice of Standing Awareness, also known as Non-Directed Body Movement. The premise behind Standing Awareness is that, if given a chance, the body will begin to spontaneously unwind unresolved trauma in the body. By simply standing without intention or judgement, the body will begin to heal itself from the inside out. This practice can begin to shift how we relate to all of life.
Everyone is welcome. No experience necessary. Please bring a blanket to put on the grass (we will be outside, weather permitting) and your curiosity. We will do a short bit of Qigong to begin and then simply stand, allowing the body to express itself. There will be time for discussion at the end.
